Birthday Fairy Spotlight

I made this card like a month ago I think...but never posted it because I decided it was for a friend's baby's first birthday...and that wonderful friend actually reads my blog! Well that beautiful baby turned 1 today (well at least her party was today) so I can now show the card.

I am positive that this was based on a sketch from someplace, but I did not write it down when I made it and cannot remember what sketch it was based off! I can't seem to find it on any of my usual sketch locations! Anyway, I used the fantastic fairy Birthday Lauren from Paper Makeup Stamps. She was stamped in Black Stazon ink on watercolor paper and the colored with markers and a paintbrush (and water of course!). On the based fairy I colored around her and then spotlighted around the present with a colored image.

The colored present was then sparklefied (yup just made up that word!) with some Diamond Stickles. The scallop circle was cut with the scallop circle Nestabilities and some white gel pen dots with Diamond Stickles on top were added to the scallops. The patterned paper is the retired Bali Breeze DSP.

I think everything else is fairly self-explanatory. Thanks for checking out my kind of engineering!
